Cheese Nest Eggs

Ingredients

  • 1 (2-pound) package process cheese spread, shredded
  • 12 eggs
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup dry mustard
  • Salt
  • Red pepper

Instructions

  1. Place cheese in a buttered 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking dish. Make 12 wells in cheese. Break one egg into each well.
  2. Combine whipping cream and mustard in a small mixing bowl; stir well.
  3. Spoon 2 teaspoons whipping cream mixture over each egg. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes or until eggs reach desired degree of doneness.
  4. Note: This may be assembled and refrigerated a day ahead. Let come to room temperature before baking.
