Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 envelope onion soup mix
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 c. slivered almonds
  • 3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika

Instructions

  1. Wash green beans and remove ends.
  2. Cut green beans into 1-inch pieces.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine beans, water, and onion soup mix.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until beans are tender.
  6. Drain the beans.
  7. Transfer beans to a serving dish and stir in butter until melted.
  8. Combine toasted slivered almonds, grated Parmesan cheese, and paprika.
  9. Sprinkle the almond mixture over the beans before serving.
