Creamy, cheesy garlic potatoes with tender chunks of potatoes, rich sour cream, and melted cheddar cheese make this comforting side perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 5 lb. potatoes
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Peel and cook the potatoes until tender, then drain.
  2. Add sour cream, margarine, garlic powder, and milk to the cooked potatoes.
  3. Blend all ingredients with a mixer until smooth and lumps are gone.
  4. Pour the mixture into a large baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  6. Place in a warm oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
