Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • frying fat

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add the milk and mix well.
  3. Working with floured or greased hands, shape the dough into biscuit-sized shapes.
  4. Add more flour if needed to make the dough firm.
  5. Heat enough frying fat to cover half of the bread in a deep skillet or frying pan.
  6. Fry the bread until golden brown, turning once.
  7. Serve warm with honey, or as a base for Indian tacos with toppings.
