A colorful and flavorful cherry cola mold combines sweet cherries, pineapple, nuts, and cola in a refreshing gelatin dessert perfect for parties or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 oz. cherry gelatin
  • 3 oz. strawberry gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 lb. 1 oz. pitted dark sweet cherries
  • 13 1/2 oz. pineapple tidbits
  • 7 oz. cola beverage

Instructions

  1. Blend cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth.
  2. Dissolve cherry and strawberry Jell-O gelatins in boiling water.
  3. Stir the gelatin mixture into the cream cheese and mayonnaise mixture, blending well.
  4. Drain cherries and pineapple, measuring 1 1/2 cups of syrup.
  5. Add the syrup and cola to the gelatin mixture.
  6. Chill until very thick.
  7. Fold in cherries, pineapple, and nuts.
  8. Pour into a 1 1/2-quart mold.
  9. Chill until firm.
  10. Unmold the gelatin mold before serving.
