Ingredients

  • 1 cup biscuit mix
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 (16 oz.) can cherries
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine biscuit mix (Bisquick), milk, and brown sugar to make a soft dough.
  2. Spread the dough roughly in a greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
  3. Drain the cherries and spread them evenly over the dough.
  4. In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and water, then bring to a boil.
  5. Pour the hot syrup over the cherries and biscuit layer.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
