Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 package dry taco mix
  • 4 cups Corn Chex
  • 4 cups Wheat Chex
  • 1 cup beer nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F.
  2. Melt butter in a large shallow roasting pan in the oven.
  3. Remove the pan from the oven.
  4. Stir in the seasoning packet.
  5. Add Corn Chex, Wheat Chex, and nuts to the pan.
  6. Mix until all pieces are coated with the seasoning and butter.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  8. Add beef jerky and cheese; stir to coat evenly.
  9. Bake an additional 15 minutes.
  10. Spread on absorbent paper to cool.
