Ingredients

  • 2 lb. chicken breasts
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix
  • 1 c. dry white wine
  • 1 c. water

Instructions

  1. Put flour, salt, and pepper in a paper bag.
  2. Take chicken breasts, one piece at a time, and place in the bag to shake until coated with the flour mixture.
  3. Brown the coated chicken in olive oil.
  4. Drain off excess oil after browning all the chicken.
  5. Sprinkle onion soup mix over the chicken.
  6. Pour white wine and water over the chicken.
  7. Simmer, covered, over low heat for 45 minutes or until chicken is tender.
