Ingredients

  • 1 cut-up chicken
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 pkg. Annies frozen pastry

Instructions

  1. Cover the cut-up chicken with water about 1 inch above the chicken in a pot.
  2. Cook covered until the chicken is tender, approximately 45-60 minutes.
  3. Remove the chicken from the water and let it cool.
  4. Debone the cooked chicken, removing all bones and skin.
  5. Add the frozen pastry to the boiling liquid in the pot and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  6. Skim off excess fat from the surface during cooking.
  7. Add the deboned chicken back into the pot.
  8. Serve the dish piping hot.
