- Roll chicken thoroughly in flour. Fry in saucepan with butter, ham, mushrooms and onions until golden brown. Add salt, pepper, bay leaf, cloves, garlic and wine.
- Cover and cook in a moderate oven at 350° for at least 45 minutes, adding a little water during cooking, if necessary. When done, turn out on the serving dish and deep warm.
