Ingredients

  • 2 to 4 cups cooked chicken, diced
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 3 cups seasoned croutons
  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 cup slivered almonds (optional)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 3 cups Cheddar cheese or Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons onions, diced

Instructions

  1. Saute onions and celery.
  2. Mix all the ingredients including cooked chicken, celery, croutons, mayonnaise, almonds (if using), cream of chicken soup, cheese, and lemon juice.
  3. Place the mixture in an ungreased casserole dish.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
