Ingredients

  • 3 lb chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 lb herb stuffing mix
  • onion flakes
  • celery flakes
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Boil the chicken for 1 hour, adding onion flakes, celery flakes, and salt to the water.
  2. Remove the chicken from the water and bone it.
  3. Lay the cooked chicken in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  4. Mix both cans of cream of chicken and mushroom soups with the can of milk, then pour over the chicken.
  5. Melt 1 stick of butter with 1 cup of stock from the boiled chicken.
  6. Sprinkle herb stuffing mix evenly on top of the chicken.
  7. Pour the melted butter and stock mixture over the stuffing.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
