Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, cut up
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 onion slices or rings, separated
  • 1/2 green pepper, cut in rings

Instructions

  1. Prepare chicken for frying by coating with flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Brown the chicken in shortening and butter until golden.
  3. Add tomato soup, Worcestershire sauce, onion slices, and green pepper rings.
  4. Simmer the mixture for 45 minutes until flavors meld and chicken is cooked through.
