Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb beef top round steak, 1/2-inch thick
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 cup fine soda cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup salad oil

Instructions

  1. Pound the steak to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into serving pieces.
  2. Blend the beaten egg with milk.
  3. Dip each piece of meat into the egg mixture, then coat with cracker crumbs.
  4. Slowly brown the meat in hot salad oil, turning once.
  5. Cover and cook on low heat for 45 to 60 minutes until tender.
  6. Season to taste before serving.
