Ingredients

  • 1 (5 lb.) cut up whole chicken
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. pepper
  • 3 c. hot water

Instructions

  1. In 8-quart saucepan, boil chicken until tender and remove from heat.
  2. Remove skin from chicken and debone.
  3. Put meat back in broth and add remaining ingredients.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer 2 hours.
