Chicken Wingdings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. maple flavored syrup
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 1/2 lb. chicken wings, tips removed

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, mix the syrup, catsup, soy sauce, mustard, ginger and garlic powder.
  2. Bring to a boil; cook over medium heat about 6 minutes.
  3. Cut wings in halves at joint.
  4. Place skin side down on foil-lined jelly roll pan.
  5. Pour sauce over chicken, coating evenly.
  6. Cover.
  7. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Turn chicken skin side up.
  8. Bake at 400° for 45 to 60 minutes, spooning sauce occasionally.
  9. Serve hot with remaining sauce or serve cold.
  10. Makes 8 to 10 appetizer servings.
