Creamy and spicy chili con queso featuring melted cheese, tomatoes, and jalapenos, perfect for sharing as a dip or a comforting snack for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 small onion
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 large can tomatoes, drained
  • 2 medium jalapeno peppers
  • 2 Tbsp. chili sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 3/4 lb. Velveeta cheese

Instructions

  1. Saute the grated or finely chopped onion in margarine until translucent.
  2. Puree the drained tomatoes and jalapeno peppers, then add to the pan.
  3. Mix chili sauce and cornstarch, then add to the mixture when it begins to bubble.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and stir in the cubed Velveeta cheese until melted and smooth.
