Chinese Rice Ring

A savory Chinese rice ring featuring seasoned rice, green onions, pimientos, bean sprouts, and eggs, baked in a ring mold for a visually impressive and flavorful dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup converted rice, cooked
  • 1/2 cup diced green onions
  • 1/3 cup pimientos
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 can bean sprouts, drained

Instructions

  1. Cook rice as directed and set aside.
  2. Saute green onions and pimientos in melted butter until softened.
  3. Stir eggs, salt, and drained bean sprouts into the cooked rice.
  4. Put the rice mixture into a well-greased round ring mold.
  5. Place the ring mold on a large baking or roasting pan filled with 1 inch of water.
  6. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes.
  7. Unmold and serve hot.
