Sweet and savory Chinese-inspired chicken wings marinated in soy, honey, garlic, and peanut butter, perfect for appetizer platters or casual gatherings with bold flavors.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. chicken wings
  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/4 c. sherry
  • 1/3 c. ketchup
  • 3 Tbsp. peanut butter
  • 1/3 c. granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Cut off wing tips and discard.
  2. Cut each wing into 2 sections.
  3. In a shallow glass or ceramic bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, crushed garlic, sherry, ketchup, peanut butter, and sugar.
  4. Add chicken wings to the marinade and marinate for several hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
  5. Remove wings from marinade and place in a single layer in a shallow baking dish, reserving the marinade.
  6. Bake in a 325°F oven for about 15 minutes.
  7. Turn the wings over, baste with marinade, and bake for another 15 minutes.
  8. Bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
  9. Just before removing from oven, baste the wings with honey.
