Ingredients

  • 3 to 3 1/2 lb. frying chicken, cut into serving pieces
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • dash of black pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. fresh orange juice
  • 2 tsp. grated orange rind
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • orange slices and orange rind (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash the chicken pieces and pat them dry.
  2. Arrange the chicken pieces in a baking dish with a lid.
  3. Add minced garlic and dot with butter over the chicken.
  4. Sprinkle soy sauce and black pepper evenly over the chicken.
  5. Cover the dish with the lid.
  6. Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and serve garnished with orange slices and orange rind.
