Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh corn
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 3/4 cup mild cheese
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 3 tablespoons shortening
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. Grind fresh corn, onion, and cheese together in a meat grinder.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the shortening.
  3. Add eggs and salt to the bowl, then mix in the corn mixture and sour milk.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased square baking dish.
  5. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 40 to 50 minutes.
  6. Cool slightly before cutting and serving.
