A delightful banana dessert featuring ripe bananas soaked in rum and brandy, sweetened with brown sugar and raisins, perfect for a festive, tropical-inspired treat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons brandy
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 8 very ripe bananas
  • 3 tablespoons rum
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Combine raisins and brandy in a bowl and let soak for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Peel the ripe bananas and set aside.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the softened butter over low heat.
  4. Add the brown sugar to the butter and stir until dissolved.
  5. Stir in the rum and milk, then cook gently for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Arrange bananas on a serving dish and spoon the warm sauce over them.
  7. Sprinkle soaked raisins over the bananas before serving.
