Decadent chocolate bonbons with crunchy nuts and coconut or walnuts, offering a rich, sweet treat perfect for special occasions or satisfying chocolate cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 egg yolks, well beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp soft butter
  • 1 (6 oz) pkg semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • moist coconut
  • ground walnuts

Instructions

  1. Sift flour, sugar, and salt; add milk and butter.
  2. Blend in beaten egg yolks.
  3. Cook in the top of a double boiler (water in bottom) for 20 minutes.
  4. Don't be disturbed if the mixture looks peculiar.
  5. Stir constantly until thick.
  6. Remove from fire; add vanilla, chocolate bits, and nuts.
  7. Cool; chill in refrigerator.
  8. Roll into small balls and roll in moist coconut or ground walnuts.
