Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oleo
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 to 1 1/4 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Cream the oleo until smooth.
  2. Add confectioners sugar, salt, and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Gradually add the flour, mixing until the dough is smooth.
  4. Shape the dough by teaspoonfuls into balls.
  5. Place the balls on ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Press a hole in the center of each ball.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 12 minutes until delicately browned.
  8. Fill the centers while warm and then cool to frost.
