Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 (3 oz) packages cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Melt butter in a 9-inch square baking pan.
  3. Stir in chocolate wafer crumbs and 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
  4. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan to form a crust.
  5. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, cocoa powder, egg, and vanilla at medium speed until smooth.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
  7. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes.
  9. Let stand at room temperature for 2 hours.
  10. Cut into 1-inch squares.
  11. Store covered in the refrigerator.
