- Beat egg whites until foamy.
- Add lemon juice and 3 tablespoons sugar to egg whites and beat until soft peaks form.
- Fold the beaten egg whites into the flour mixture.
- Pour the batter into 2 ungreased cake pans.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Slice bananas and layer between the cooled cake layers.
- Garnish the top with whipped cream and banana slices.
