Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 slightly beaten egg whites
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. In a large mixer bowl, beat the butter until softened.
  2. Add brown sugar and beat until fluffy.
  3. Add egg yolk and vanilla and beat well.
  4. Add flour and beat until well mixed.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Cover and chill for about 1 hour or until easy to handle.
  7. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  8. Roll the balls in beaten egg whites, then in chopped pecans.
