Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 6 oz. miniature semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat butter on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
  2. Add water and vanilla; beat well.
  3. Stir in flour, half of the chocolate pieces, and the pecans.
  4. Shape dough into 1 1/2 x 1/2-inch crescents.
  5. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 25 minutes.
  7. Cool before serving.
