Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 can Eagle Brand milk
  • 1 1/2 boxes powdered sugar
  • 2 cans flaky coconut
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 pound paraffin
  • 1 1/2 (6 oz.) packages semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix the Eagle Brand milk and butter with a mixer at high speed.
  2. Reduce speed to low and cream in the powdered sugar, salt, and vanilla; then increase to high for one minute.
  3. Remove the mixer and by hand, mix in the chopped nuts and shredded coconut.
  4. Chill the mixture, covered, in the refrigerator overnight.
  5. Make into balls the size of an English walnut.
  6. Chill the balls again in the refrigerator for at least an hour or more.
  7. Melt the paraffin and semi-sweet chocolate chips together.
  8. Dip the chilled balls into the melted chocolate mixture.
  9. Place the coated balls on wax paper and let set until firm.
