Chocolate Covered Crackers

Sweet and crunchy chocolate-covered crackers combine salty, buttery, and rich chocolate flavors, perfect for a quick treat or sharing at gatherings with family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 8 oz. bag chocolate chips
  • saltine crackers

Instructions

  1. Cover a cookie sheet with tin foil.
  2. Lay saltine crackers salt side up, touching each other.
  3. Boil brown sugar and butter together.
  4. Pour the boiling mixture evenly over the crackers.
  5. Bake in the oven at 400°F for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the crackers from the oven.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the hot crackers.
  8. Let the chocolate chips melt, then smooth with a spatula to cover all crackers.
  9. Allow to cool completely, then break into pieces.
