Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 cup C and H brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 cup salad oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and combine it with the brown sugar and salad oil.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture and mix well.
  6. Stir in the chopped walnuts.
  7. Chill the dough until firm, then drop by teaspoonfuls into powdered sugar and roll to coat.
  8. Place the coated dough on a greased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
  10. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
