Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, butter, cocoa, and milk in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil quickly.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and boil for 3 or 4 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in rolled oats, chopped nuts, and vanilla.
  5. Drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper.
  6. Let stand until hardened.
  7. Store in refrigerator.
