Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp coffee
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 1 1/4 c milk
  • 1 Tbsp gelatin
  • 1/4 c cold water
  • 1 c cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 9-inch baked pie shell
  • nuts or shredded chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Soften gelatin in cold water.
  2. Bring cocoa, coffee, salt, sugar, milk, and cold water to a boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat and add gelatin.
  4. Cook until slightly thickened.
  5. Beat the cooked mixture until smooth.
  6. Beat the cream until stiff.
  7. Add vanilla to the whipped cream.
  8. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooked mixture.
  9. Pour the filling into the baked pie shell and top with nuts or shredded chocolate chips.
