Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 2 squares semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and softened butter in a bowl.
  2. Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed for five minutes.
  3. Add melted and cooled semi-sweet chocolate and one egg; beat for five minutes.
  4. Add the other egg, vanilla, and salt; beat for another five minutes.
  5. Gently fold in the whipped heavy cream.
  6. Spoon the mixture into a baked pie shell and chill until set.
