- In a 3-quart saucepan, combine sugar and corn syrup and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until bubbles form.
- Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until completely melted.
- Add rice Krispies and mix well to coat.
- Spread the mixture into a buttered 13x9-inch pan, pressing evenly.
- Melt the chocolate chips and butterscotch (or peanut butter) together until smooth.
- Spread the melted chocolate mixture over the rice Krispies in the pan.
- Allow to harden for several hours before cutting into squares.
