Ingredients

  • 1 21.5 oz package brownie mix
  • 2 1/2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons salted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 1/4 inch quiche pan and an 8x8 inch square pan.
  2. Prepare brownies according to package instructions. Pour half into each pan.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool completely.
  4. Combine cranberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and gently boil for about 10 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then add to the cranberry mixture. Whisk until thickened. Chill the cranberry mixture.
  6. Cut half of the brownies in the square pan into 1/2 inch cubes. Leave the other half whole for later enjoyment.
  7. Spoon the chilled cranberry mixture over the brownies in the quiche pan.
  8. Sprinkle the brownie cubes and salted peanuts on top.
  9. Warm the fudge sauce and drizzle over the assembled dessert.
  10. Cut into wedges and serve.
