Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large mixer bowl, cream butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt until well blended.
  2. Stir in melted chocolate.
  3. Add flour and chopped walnuts.
  4. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on a well-greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
  6. Cool for 1 minute before removing from the sheet.
  7. While warm, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
