Ingredients

  • 1 long loaf French bread
  • 1 stick oleo (butter)
  • 1/4 cup poppy seed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 package white cheese slices

Instructions

  1. Melt the oleo (butter).
  2. Add poppy seed and garlic salt to the melted oleo.
  3. Slice the French bread into sections.
  4. Butter each slice with the butter mixture.
  5. Place a slice of cheese on each buttered slice.
  6. Repeat the process until the entire loaf is layered.
  7. Bake at 300°F for 25 to 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
