Harvest Loaf Cake(Pumpkin Bread)

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
- Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves in a bowl.
- Cream margarine and add sugar and eggs until well blended.
- Alternately add dry ingredients and pumpkin to the creamed mixture, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 65 to 75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool the loaf in the pan for a few minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optional: glaze the cooled loaf before serving.
