Instructions
- Combine yeast and warm water.
- Stir and set aside.
- Combine milk, butter, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt and stir to melt butter. Cool to lukewarm.
- Stir in yeast mixture.
- Add flour gradually to form a stiff dough.
- Knead to smooth.
- Put in greased bowl, cover and raise 1 hour.
- Combine 3/4 cup sugar, cinnamon and brown sugar with chopped nuts.
- Pinch off pieces of risen dough.
- Roll into strips in palms of hands, dip the strips into the butter, then into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Wind into
- flat coil on a greased pizza pan.
- Let raise 45 to 60 minutes.
- Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Cool and drizzle with a powdered sugar glaze.
