Ingredients

  • 2 lb. 4 oz. flour
  • 1 lb. 12 oz. butter
  • 8 oz. sugar
  • 1 oz. cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix on low speed using a dough hook until the ingredients are combined.
  3. Sift flour with cocoa powder.
  4. Add the sifted flour and cocoa mixture to the dough and mix only until smooth.
  5. Place the dough on a paper-lined sheet pan and press it as flat as possible.
  6. Cover and refrigerate the dough.
  7. Use the chilled dough to make cookies, tart shells, or other confections.
