Instructions
- Combine 1 cup flour and 1/4 cup packed brown sugar in a bowl.
- Add butter and mix thoroughly.
- Press the mixture firmly into a 9-inch greased pan to form the crust.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, beat eggs until thick and then gradually add 1 cup brown sugar.
- Beat until light and fluffy.
- Mix 1/4 cup flour with baking powder.
- Fold the flour mixture into the egg mixture.
- Add 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut and nuts.
- Spread the coconut mixture over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 20 to 25 minutes.
- Cool and cut into squares.
