Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. strong, hot coffee
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients well.
  2. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan and bake 15 minutes at 350°.
