Instructions
- Sift sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt together.
- Work the mixture into soft butter and sweet milk until combined.
- Make into a ball shape.
- Put the dough into a Ziploc bag and beat with a mallet 200 strokes.
- Remove from the bag and divide into 4 balls.
- Roll each ball between wax paper until very thin.
- Cut the rolled dough into strips.
- Bake at 325°F (163°C) until no browning occurs, about 10 minutes.
- While still warm, cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Pack in an airtight box for storage.
- Save 2 or 3 long strips for the pastor to use in the service.
