Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Duncan Hines angel food cake mix
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 6 to 8 drops red food color
  • 1/2 gal vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate fudge ice cream topping
  • peppermint candies, crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Add peppermint extract and 6 to 8 drops of red food color to the egg white packet and water as per package instructions.
  3. Prepare, bake, and cool the angel food cake following the package directions.
  4. Serve each cake slice topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate fudge topping, and crushed peppermint candies.
