Ingredients

  • 6 thick lamb shoulder chops
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 green pepper, cut in rings
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Instructions

  1. Brown the lamb shoulder chops in hot fat and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the browned chops in a baking pan.
  3. Top each chop with a green pepper ring, a slice of onion, and a lemon slice.
  4. Pour tomato juice over the chops.
  5. Cover the pan and bake in a slow oven for 1 1/2 hours.
