Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, coarsely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 small bottle ketchup
  • saltine crackers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, stir together ground beef, chopped onion, beaten egg, saltine crackers, and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Shape the mixture into two small loaves and place them in a baking pan.
  4. Add 1 cup of water to the pan.
  5. Cover the pan with tinfoil and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil, spread ketchup over the top of each loaf, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.
