Ingredients

  • 6 beaten eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup whipping cream

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, mix eggs, milk, and 1/3 cup sugar.
  2. Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture coats the back of a metal spoon.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Quickly cool by placing the pan in a sink or bowl of cold water, stirring constantly.
  5. Stir in vanilla.
  6. Chill for 24 hours.
