Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Cream together butter or margarine and sugar.
  3. Sift flour before measuring.
  4. Add flour and eggs alternately to the batter, starting and ending with flour.
  5. Fold in flavorings and whipped topping.
  6. Mix only until blended.
  7. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  8. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
