Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. corn meal
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • salt
  • 2 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Pour boiling water over the corn meal and margarine and mix well.
  2. The mixture should be the consistency of thick soup.
  3. Cover and let stand overnight.
  4. The next day, add flour and salt to taste and mix well.
  5. Form into small balls and roll out on a floured pastry cloth, using a cut lefse rolling pin.
  6. Fry on a hot lefse grill and turn once.
